Current News and Events 

  • Sunday, October 12, 2008: Pre-ChalleNGe Graduation of Class 09-1, at the Buckner Physical Fitness Center at 2:30 p.m.
  • Applications now being accepted for Class 09-2 which begins April 1, 2009.  Contact the Fairbanks Armory or Dimond Center offices for more information.
  • Orientation for Class 09-2 begins Wednesday, Nov 5th. For those applications submitted through the Anchorage office, meet at the main gate by 9:00 for escorted access. Must have a picture ID for all occupants 16 and older, current registration,  and proof of insurance to enter the installation. Interior Alaska applicants, contact Joe Blackburn at 907.374.7960.

  


Past News and Events

  • Graduation ceremonies for Class 2008-2 is in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Atwood Concert Hall, Friday, August 29th at 1000 a.m. Parking available in the JC Penney, 6th, and 7th Avenue parking garages. Admission to the PAC is free and doors open at 9:15 a.m
  • Sunday, April 13, 2008: Pre-ChalleNGe Graduation of class 08-02, National Guard Armory, 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 1, 2008: Graduation of Class 2008-1 at the Buckner Physical Fitness Center, Fort Richardson.  Post-Residential completion date is 1 April 2009.
  • August 31, 2007: Graduation of Class 2007-1. Post-Residential completion is 1 October 2008.
  • Sept 3, 2005:  Alaska Youth Program Gives 'At-Risk' Students Chance  AFIS
  • Sept 3, 2005:  'At-Risk' Youth Complete Phase I of ChalleNGe Program  AFIS
